Why I do what I do

I’ve always been animal mad. As a child we had dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, chickens, goats and horses and I grew up with an insatiable thirst for learning as much as I could about animal behaviour and welfare. I love that I get to share my life with non human species, and feel that it is a privilage to help other people with their pets, whether through pet sitting or my dog behaviour consulting work.

I currently share my life with Chika, my 13 year old rescue I’ve had since a puppy. She comes on all sits with me and is Head of Fun, Walks and Enrichment activities. She’s as happy on a walk as she is chilled on a sofa, is super calm and friendly and gets on with everyone. She’s also very fluffy, and cute, although I may be a little biased!

Alongside my pet sitting work, I’m also a fully qualified and accredited Clinical Animal Behaviourist, offering consultations, assessments and treatment for dog behaviour problems such as fears, phobias, reactivity and aggression. Together Chika and I offer a professional small animal pet sitting service, in the comfort of your own home, ensuring your pets have the familiarity and routine they are used to.

Most of my pet sitting work is local to Abergavenny and around Monmouthshire and the surrounding areas, but I also take on longer sits anywhere in the UK; perfect if you’re planning a trip of two weeks or more. These bookings give me the chance to combine my love of caring for pets with visiting some of Britain’s most beautiful regions, such as Pembrokeshire, Devon, the Lake District, or even Scotland.
